Nick Thorp aka Nacho has red and white flowing through his veins. Son of Katunga stalwart Tony “Stringa” Thorp Nick spent many a day dressed in the red and white at the KFNC as a kid. Nick worked hard on his footy as light weight Swan junior and after progressing through the junior ranks and to everyone’s delight returned after an off season to senior preseason training about a foot taller and 10kgs heavier! This weekend Big Nick will play his 200th club game. After that growth spurt and a few solid years in the gym Nick went about learning the craft of the Ruckman from big Moo Sidey. Nick has developed from that skinny teenager into one of the top ruckman in the league. He exhibits great athleticism and is a super dedicated and motivated player who quickly figures out his opponent's weakness and exploits it. Nacho loves a big goal from outside 50 and has a great future ahead of him. We thank Nick for his ongoing contribution and dedication to the Red Vee and hope he has a great game this weekend and a super 2024 finals series and many more to come!
